Adenoid-tonsillectomy for my 23 months old

im on E.L again today... further checks and tests on Dina with Dr Awal, ENT specialist at DSH.

... our appointment was at 10.45am...

we arrived early but as usual...it was till 11.30am that the doc came about as he had to go the ward to see his patient..

anyway, dina fell asleep while waiting for the doc to reappear... so when he eventually did, dina was already droning and snoring her usual loudness and doc could see clearly that she has sleep apnea....

i told doc that last night was really bad as id stayed up to monitor Dina while she slept...barely breathing and then snoring and then choking for air... (Sigh)..... it really is worrying to see her doing this every minute... she was so restless.... trying to sleep in a different position to get better breathing... if she wakes up, she will merengek... i had to try and position her do make sure she gets AIR.... (Sigh) .....

So as i went up and down to get the documents done, i was thinking to myself that it was really good that we detected Dina's problem early... she needs to undergo the surgery...

Acc to Doc, her adenoids and tonsils are large and when she sleeps, these things relax which then block her air passage ie her nose canal... this can lead to O2 deprivation to the brain and such that it will slow down growth and performance... etc.... if left untreated, it can be fatal :(

and surgery was the ONLY answer. Maybe this Friday morning is a good day to do it...

We were both prepared for this ...it was the only option. :I

p.s Ive also been reading this. i guess it helps.

Please pray for her ....

...... anak mama ni.... *sigh*.... we love her to bits and will do anything for her...
