i'm vowing to myself to try at least 2 new recipes in a month... eventho i have a hectic work schedule and come home every day at 7pm... :(
so my recipes will only be like 'supper recipes' and i recently got this recipe book called 'great supper recipes' from MPH which has lots of nice, yummy but light meals (which i like!) to make for dinner... (well, to tell you d' truth, i sometimes just buy us simple burgers at the nearby friendly burger stall in my housing area..hehe...nie sebab tak sempat masak punya pasal la)
RECIPE 1: My Hubby's Favourite Tuna Olio Pasta
Ingredients: (For 4 servings)
Spaghetti (boiled with a bit of cooking oil till al dente )
Tuna chunks in Olive oil (Ayam Brand - one can is enough)
Olive oil (must be generous with this)
3 cloves of garlic
Fresh Italian Parsley ( chopped)
Fresh button mushroom
Broccoli
Carrots
2 tablespoon of butter
Method:

Melt the butter in a saucepan and saute the vegetables till almost tender. Stir in chopped parsely for 1 minute and then turn off flame. pour sauted veges in a mixing bowl, add spaghetti and tuna chunks. stir until all mixed well, add olive oil if appears too dry. season to taste with black pepper and a pinch of salt (cos tuna is salty already). i like to eat this with cili api potong :)
RECIPE 2: Sausage and Cheese Casserole
(from allrecipes.com but modified to my taste)
Ingredients:
Sausages (20 mini-sized sausages)
Hashbrowns (4 thick pieces - just buy from supermarket)
3 tablespoon butter, melted
250 g mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 big onions, shredded
10 large-sized eggs
Method:

Preheat oven to 190 degrees C. Lightly grease a casserole dish. Place sausage in a large, deep pan over stove. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Add onions and saute till aromatic. Drain and set aside. In the prepared baking dish, place hashbrown at the bottom and sides of the casserole dish with the melted butter spread out evenly. In a bowl, mix the sausage and onions mix, Cheddar cheese, and eggs. Season well with black pepper. Pour over the potato mixture. Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the casserole comes out clean. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Eat together with chilli sauce for the extra kick.
YUMMYLICIOUS!
